Palo Alto living room w/ private balcony available early May - 12 min bike to campus! Female only
A large private living room that can be used as a bedroom is available early May in a 2B/2B Palo Alto apartment. The living room is 13’ by 13’ (bigger than one of the bedrooms!) and has a private balcony, laminate flooring, great natural lighting, and its own heater. It uses curtains as a room divider for privacy. I also just ordered a tension rod and another set of curtains so there will be two layers of curtains. You would also get a sliding closet by the apartment entrance that you can use to hang clothes or store boxes. I drew an approximate floor plan, which shows that you don’t have to pass by the living room when entering the apartment or going to the kitchen/bathroom. It does not come furnished, but the room is definitely large enough for a queen/king sized bed, a desk for work, and storage drawers. You would share a bathroom with me (female, early twenties).
The apartment is within an apartment building that is a 3 min walk to Cal Ave and a ~12 min bike ride to main campus! Groceries, restaurants, banks, and parks are within walking distance. Rent is $898 a month plus utilities split evenly (trash, water, heat, electricity, and wifi). Available early May (flexible). Preference to those who can stay the full length of the lease (until May 2021), but can consider those who have shorter-term housing needs.
About current tenants: I am a female Stanford recent grad working in the School of Medicine. My younger brother (CS coterm at Stanford) will be moving in to the master bedroom in June. We like to use the apartment as a quiet place to unwind, read, or study at the end of the day.
