"Literacy Boost in Rwanda: A Randomized Control Trial" is a study at the Stanford Graduate School of Education that seeks to assess the impact of a literacy intervention in rural Rwanda. Literacy Boost is a program developed by Save the Children to help promote children’s literacy development through teacher training and community action. We are looking for an undergraduate part-time assistant(s) for the summer to assist with data entry. The assistants will be working with photo records from rural Rwanda to create a dataset that will later be used for analyses of program impact. These analyses will be used to inform national level conversations about education in Rwanda, and will (hopefully) have a positive impact on helping children to learn to read better.

Main duties:

• Data entry from photos to Excel sheets

Required skills:

• Excel knowledge
• Patience
• Attention to detail
• Strong time management
• Knowledge of Kinyarwanda or another Bantu language highly desirable

Hours and Compensation:
5 weeks beginning mid-June; roughly 10 hours/week until the task is complete. The hours can be flexible with your schedule, and they must be completed on campus. Summer only.
