We have one bedroom available in our 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home available for rent on a co-signed lease, available any time after August 1st in East Palo Alto.

Monthly rent includes:
Unfurnished bedroom with closet
Shared bathroom w 1 roommate
Shared living room & dining room
Driveway parking
In-unit laundry machine & dryer
Your own kitchen cabinet space
Refrigerator space
The shared large kitchen includes dishwasher, oven, gas stovetop range
Weekly gardening included with monthly rent
Garbage utility included with monthly rent
Safety deposit: $1075
Utilities not included with the monthly rent include PG&E, water, and Internet. Together, these range from ~$90 in the summer to ~$140 in the winter per person.
The landlord requires proof of income and credit score report with the application.
The first month’s rent and safety deposit are expected upon move-in.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood and has a big backyard, plenty of common space and lots of storage space.

Current housemates:
One female staff scientist and two male postdocs all working at Stanford University's School of Medicine campus (different departments/labs). We are all in our 30's. And all of us are rather quiet and enjoy active lifestyles, videogames, and are generally focused on our work. We like to keep the house to be that peaceful place we go to after work and like to keep it very clean. We hope to find someone who similarly prefers clean spaces and is okay with cleaning after themselves in maintaining clean common areas.
We have been renting this home for 3+ years and we feel that the house and neighborhood are quite comfortable. One of us has two cockatiels (small birds) living in the back bedroom, but sorry, our lease does not allow dogs or cats - no exceptions.

Who we are looking for:
Our home is the place we go to for relaxation and recharging after work and hope to find roommates who also want to maintain a relaxing and homey environment with positive roommate relations. We are seeking people who similarly want to keep common spaces clean, keep late hours quiet, and are trustable. We generally don't have guests over and rarely have large gatherings and hope to find someone who is okay with continuing to have minimal guests and gatherings.

Due to current COVID-19 circumstances, I wanted to mention that current housemates are taking safety very seriously and are physically isolating as much as possible and following CDC guidelines on keeping safe. We are seeking housemates who also are similarly staying cautious during these pandemic times and are in agreement with following CDC guidelines of mask-wearing, washing hands, maintaining 6 ft apart, etc.
