The room is a decent-sized bedroom sharing a bathroom with one other tenant. The house was remodeled in 2021 so everything still has a new feeling to it despite being over 100 years old.
You'll share the downstairs common areas (kitchen, living room, dining room) with 2 others while I'm upstairs in a studio-ish bedroom and so don't use the kitchen downstairs except on rare occasions to bake something. We also have a great porch for hanging out and a washer/dryer in the basement.
The house is very close to downtown PA, the Caltrain station, and campus. It’s about a 20-minute walk or short bike ride to the center of Stanford. Also, if you have a car, you can purchase a street parking pass.
The rent is $1,675/month which includes utilities+internet. It also includes a regular cleaning service for the bathrooms and common areas. The room has a height-adjustable desk, office chair, bed frame, and mattress (total $640) that can be bought from the previous tenant (preferred).
The initial sublease runs through September, and you will have the option to extend long-term at that time.
About us:
We are a mix of mid 20s-30s professionals working in tech and on campus. We keep a respectful, reliable household. The current group is pretty heads down with work but we get along well.
If you are interested, please tell write back with a little bit about yourself! I can send a 2 minute youtube tour of the room if you're interested in more details as well.
Please respond to highsthabitat@gmail.com because I'm posting this through one of the tenants and therefore direct replies will go to them and not me. Thanks!
