Room for rent or long-term sublet in sunny North Oakland 2-bedroom apt

My awesome friend is looking for a new roommate to share the 2 bedroom / split bath apartment in Oakland that she currently live in. The room will be available on July 1st, but it might be possible for you to move in a bit earlier if you prefer. Rent is $900 per person per month, and utilities is another $35-40 per person per month.

About the apartment:
The available room is pretty spacious (14.5" x 11") and has 2 windows. Your room would be unfurnished, but the rest of the apartment is furnished. The apartment gets a lot of good natural light and is well insulated, so we never need the AC or heater. We have a small private balcony area too. The apartment building has about 10 units total and there is a locked front gate for security. There is an off-street gated parking lot in the back. The neighbors are quiet and friendly.

About the neighborhood:
In North Oakland (basically South Berkeley). The apartment is very conveniently located, with an AC Transit bus stop 2 blocks away, Whole Foods 3 blocks away, Ashby BART and Berkeley Bowl both about 0.75 miles away, and UC Berkeley 1.5 miles away. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and it's easy to get to both downtown Oakland and Berkeley.

About me:
API woman in her early thirties who works in education and has some typical NorCal crunchy interests: I bike commute; I love farmers' markets; I am socially progressive; I think Samantha Bee, John Oliver, and Trevor Noah are hilarious; and I go hiking/camping/rock climbing as often as possible. I climb at a gym several times a week as well. I also have two super cute pet rats who live in a cage in the living room.

About you:
I'm open to living with someone of any gender/sexual orientation. No drug use aside from maybe 420 occasionally. It'd be nice but not necessary for us to share interests, as long as you are low-maintenance to live with and a friendly, clean, respectful person. Unfortunately the landlord does not allow cats/dogs.
