We have a room opening up in January in our beautiful house in Portola Valley. It has an awesome kitchen with top of the line appliances, large common spaces, a big backyard with a gas fire pit, and it is literally across the street from a lake and a trailhead that connects to PV trails and open space up on Skyline.

The room has its own bathroom, and it looks out over the backyard. Rent is $1450 per month, and utilities are usually somewhere around $60-$80 per person. The lease goes through the end of May, but there may be an option to extend it.

We're located in the Los Trancos neighborhood near the top of a large hill, and there are some beautiful views from the back deck. Commute is about 15-20 minutes to Stanford (driving), and is definitely bikeable, but does involve a fair amount of climbing on the return trip.

We're a pretty active bunch, and most weekends we're out skiing, surfing, biking, climbing, or just generally enjoying the outdoors. One of our housemates has a large dog who is very friendly, and she will happily cuddle with you if you want!
