I'll be away from my home, abroad for the lease term, so I'm looking for thoughtful people to care for my Daly City home while I'm away. The home already has one clean and quiet Stanford-affiliated tenant and we're looking for another.

At a Glance

• Oct 1–late May, we may have flexibility on move-in and end dates
• $2100/mo for each of two people, (utilities included)
• Security deposit: one month's rent
• Renters insurance required ($100K liability, proof before move-in)

The House
• Bright, well-cared-for mid-century home on a quiet cul-de-sac, set up for spacious living, not max occupancy:
• Primary suite, renovated private bath (taken by first renter)
• 2nd bedroom (for 2nd renter, across from full, larger bathroom)
• Yoga/meditation room
• Second full bath
• Living/dining spaces, kitchen, small backyard
• Designated closet/shelving space in shared areas (I retain some storage — details before move-in)

Real character, not polish — comfortable, peaceful, a little imperfect in the way older homes are. Suits people who find that charming, not a problem.

Marley
• Affectionate and easy to live with gorgeous ocicat. Needs food, water, litter care, company; OK alone up to 48 hours. No additional pets.

Who This Is For
• A responsible adult — visiting faculty, grad students, researchers, traveling professionals. More important than profession: conscientious, communicative, comfortable sharing a home with a cat — and with a landlord who lays out expectations clearly rather than leaving things vague.

Guidelines
• No smoking, no recreational drugs, no additional pets. Treat the home with care and flag anything needing attention.

About Me
