Hi! My partner and I are starting a lease on a 2B2B at Middle Plaza in downtown Menlo Park and are looking for someone to join us for the other bedroom with a private bathroom.

The room & apartment

• Unfurnished private bedroom with your own bathroom, including a shower/tub
• ⁠In-unit washer and dryer
• 900 sq. ft. third-floor apartment facing the courtyard plaza, on the quiet side of the complex
• Shared kitchen already equipped with stainless steel appliances
• Shared living room will be mostly furnished by us before mid-October, with room for additions if you want to come with a piece of furniture you feel attached to;)
• Balcony and AC
• Modern, university-owned complex that’s only about 3 years old
• Pool, hot tub, courtyard, workspace/library, and complimentary trash valet

Location

• ~10-15 min bike ride to Stanford, depending on where you’re going on campus
• ~3 min bike ride / 10 min walk to Menlo Park Caltrain
• Downtown Menlo Park is right nearby

Rent & lease

• $2,400/month
• Utilities+wifi: estimated $65–115/person, after splitting equally among the three of us
• Move-in: October 7
• Minimum stay: 6 months, with an extension possible—we’re planning on staying longer
• Parking is not included, although additional spaces can be rented

A little about us:

We’re a couple, both 24. I work at a robotics startup, and my girlfriend does biochemistry research at Stanford. We’ve been together for 2+ years and are generally pretty busy with work, so we’re often out of the apartment during the day.

At home, we value cleanliness and a considerate living environment - happy to hang out or give space whenever needed. Outside of work, we like spending time in nature, playing board games, and having good conversations, but we’re also pretty independent and want the apartment to feel comfortable and relaxed for everyone.

We got this apartment after being on the waitlist for about 3 months, so we’re excited to finally have the spot!
