$1,060
Two unfurnished rooms available in furnished 5Br/3.5Bth just off of Oregon and Alma, one open June 15th and one open July 10th (with likely flexibility on start-date). The room opening in June is $1060, and the room opening in July is $1390. Utilities and internet are not included, but run about $60 per person depending on the season/heater use. We also have a cleaner come monthly, which is $25/person.
Rent is paid month-to-month with the caveat that if one of us should decide to move on, we help find a replacement with at least 30 days' notice. We're most interested in someone who can commit for 6 months to a year.
About the rooms: The June room (the first one in the photos, shown with a twin bed and then with a full) is the smallest in the house, but still fits a full bed, bureau, and bookshelf comfortably. It has a built in closet and storage space, and looks out on some foliage on the side of the house. You'd share a bathroom with one of the roommates, but she has her own half bathroom so really just the shower is shared. The July room (the second one in the photos-- not our furnishings, btw) is spacious, with a sliding glass door that opens on to our big backyard. This one also has a built-in closet, and you'd share a bathroom with two sinks with one other roommate.
About the house: We are walking distance to the California Ave Caltrain (about 20 min), and Midtown Shopping Center. There is a washer and dryer in our spacious garage. The house is beautiful, complete with fruit-trees and a fire pit in our backyard, a big open cooking space, a large living room/dining room, and a projector. The landlord is responsive and reasonable (one of us has been here for 5 years!). Sadly, we cannot have pets.
About the roommates: come June you will for sure be sharing the house with 2 guys and 1 girl-- all mid-20's, working at different tech companies in the area. We are fun and sociable, and our interests include social dance, piano, the start-up scene, fruit-picking, theatre, poetry, and marshmallows. The house has been a fairly communal/social space, but of the dinner party and game night kind, not the rager kind. We are often up until 10/11 on a weekday, 10/12 on a weekend hanging out after work, playing a game together or watching some Game of Thrones, but we also have our separate social circles. We're considerate of each other's needs and feelings, and our communication style is direct.
