I just leased a new car because I'm moving to the East Bay, so I need something more reliable for my long distance commute. I'm selling a 1996 Infiniti, 223,000 miles. It's great for short distances--I used it every day for a year without a problem. However, I would NOT rely on it for long distances--driving from campus to either Redwood City or San Jose (and places in between) should be fine. Here's a bit about the car:

The seats are very badly ripped, but I use seat covers to hide this.
The steering wheel is peeling very badly, but I use a steering wheel cover.
One of the tires don't match.
The driver's mirror is stapled on, but it works fine.
There are many dents/scratches.
It makes a weird sound when turning or hitting the brakes too fast, but I took it to a mechanic and there are no underlying issues--it's just old.
The front light is out, but I have the replacement. My friend hit it with her purse when she turned around too fast (there was a bottle of wine in the purse).

The car is NOT aesthetically pleasing, but it serves it's purpose. I bought it from a couple in SF last year for 1200, and I used it for a year while living in Mountain View and commuting to campus. I'm in the middle of moving so I don't have time to post pics, but I work on campus 5 days a weeks 9-5, so if you contact me I can show you the car and let you drive it.
