So, I bought a 25 pound bag of regular, granulated white sugar at CostCo. There is no way I can eat all this sugar by myself, though I am tempted to... Save me from myself! The whole bag cost about $16, so you can have:

Half of it (12.5 pounds or 28 cups) for $8,
A fourth of it (14 cups) for $4, or
An eighth of it (7 cups) for $2.

For comparison, a 4 lb bag from Safeway contains 9 cups of sugar and costs about 4.75, not including tax.
