I'm looking to sublease one room in my 2-bedroom (~1000 sf) apartment on College Ave to a female roommate beginning on November 1. Furnishing is optional (please note that the current bed is a queen-size instead of the twin pictured in this post). The room itself is 12' x 12' with a closet along one of the walls and a large window with a nice view of College Ave. We would have a shared bathroom, kitchen, storage closet, and pretty large living room. The laundry room is conveniently located in the same building (right next to this unit).

The apartment is about two blocks from California Ave's restaurants, grocery stores, Caltrain station, and Stanford Marguerite's bus stops. Many of the residents on our street are Stanford graduate students, employees, or alumni, as the location is ideal for a short bike or bus ride to campus.

Ideally, I'm hoping to find a roommate who:
(1) is neat, very clean, and respectful,
(2) doesn't smoke or do drugs, and
(3) does not have pets.

I'd prefer to find a longer-term roommate (e.g. someone who could stay for a year), but I'm open to discussing a slightly shorter-term arrangement.

The rent is $1500/month with an equivalent, upfront security deposit. Utilities add about $50/month.
