I have a bedroom opening up in my two-bedroom English Basement Apartment in a Capitol Hill Row House, just off H St NE. Renovations include a new kitchen, granite countertops, new wood floors, marble bathroom, etc. While it is a bottom floor apartment, it has plenty of windows, especially because it's an end row house, so it has large windows along the front and side. It's available for move in by the end of July (some flexibility).

You have your own entrance, kitchen, full bath, and living room. The basement shares Directv and internet with the upstairs house, cutting the bills (bottom apartment pays 1/4 of those bills). There is a washer/dryer upstairs that you'll have access to as well. The place is currently fully furnished, so it's ready for immediate move-in.

I'm a PhD in my early 30s doing a research fellowship at the Smithsonian. I'm a friendly and clean guy, and spend most of my time at the museum or at cafés writing. I welcome emails from anyone who is in their 20s/30s, is clean, respectful, and friendly.

The house is located in North Capitol Hill (10th and K st), two blocks from the new "Atlas District" or the "H St Corridor." In the past few years tons of new bars and restaurants have opened in the area. Within 3 blocks there is a pharmacy, convenience store, take out places, restaurants, bars, dry cleaners, barber shop, a Bank of America, and many other conveniences. You're within walking distance of the Union Station and NoMa metro stops, as well as several buses and trolleys.
