I have two great recording studio-quality monitor speakers. They are two different models and they work very well together. They are:
Event, TR5 ~ $200 new
M-Audio, BX5a ~ $150 new
I'm upgrading to more expensive gear, but I'd like to give a student a good deal on a nice pair of speakers.
