I’m subleasing my room in a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment at Avana Sunnyvale, available immediately through early September. My visa is taking longer than expected, but I’ve already rented the unit, so I’m offering the sublease at well below market price.
Rent: $1,855/month (your half of the $3,710 base rent)
Comparable units in the building are currently listed between $4,000 and $4,600/month for new leases, which comes out to $2,000–$2,300 per person, and that’s typically with a 12-month minimum commitment.
This sublease is short-term and significantly cheaper.
The room is unfurnished, as I haven’t moved in yet, but if you buy furniture (e.g. bed, desk) at a reasonable price, I’d be open to buying it from you afterward.
You’d be living with a Stanford lab technician (early 20s, neuroscience laboratory).
A standard background check via the leasing office is required (quick and simple process).
