Description

Hello! My name is Alisha Maltos.

I earned my BS in Bioengineering from Stanford and am now a medical student at Stanford School of Medicine. I have years of teaching experience, from teaching health to middle schoolers and tutoring science and math for middle and high school students, to serving as a histology teaching assistant in medical school. I’d be happy to tutor in any health, science, or math-related subjects.

I also offer test prep tutoring, including for the MCAT and USMLE exams. I scored a 514 on the MCAT, passed Step 1, and earned a 262 on Step 2, so I know what it takes to succeed. My goal is to make complex topics clear, high-yield, and easy to remember.

When applying to medical school, I was accepted to several top institutions, including Harvard, UCSF, Johns Hopkins, and Stanford. I’d love to help you craft a strong application for college or medical school that showcases who you are and all you’ve accomplished.

Additionally, I’m happy to proofread essays, including technical writing. I have written and published nearly 10 papers in prestigious journals, including Nature.
