My roommates of two years are moving out in August and I have two rooms available for rent to responsible professionals looking for a quiet apartment off Rengstorff Ave in Mountain View. It is only a 5 minute drive from downtown Mountain View, 15 minute walk to the San Antonio Caltrain station, and 2 blocks from San Antonio Shopping Center and Whole Foods.
About me:
I am an attorney in my 30s, working in downtown Mountain View. I leave the house at 5:30am, get home from work at 7pm, and go to bed at 9pm, so I am hardly home during the week. On the weekends, I usually go to the city and stay with friends, but occasionally I stay home and hang out in my room. The only time I use the common areas of the apartment is to use cook and eat in the kitchen in the morning, when I get home from work, and on the weekends, if I am around. In other words, you will rarely see me.
About the apartment:
This is a 4 bedroom/3 bathroom second floor apartment. There are two master bedrooms, the smaller of which I occupy. The larger master bedroom has its own bathroom and private entrance. The other two rooms share a bathroom, but I am only planning on renting our one of those rooms, so everyone will have their own private bathroom. There is a small balcony that overlooks the courtyard and pool, a living room, and a dinette. The kitchen has all the usual appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. There is coin laundry onsite and a storage space. There are two assigned parking spaces, one covered.
About the rooms:
Rent for the master bedroom is $975 for one person. My current roommates share this room, so that is a possibility as well, but the rent would be more, depending on whether we have three or four total roommates. Rent for either of the other rooms is $850.
About the bills:
Depending on the time of year, the bills split between three people total range between $60 - $100 a person; this covers water/sewerage/trash, PG&E, and Comcast Internet.
The property management company will require proof of income and that all tenants’ names be added to the month-to-month lease.
Please do not reply to posting, email me (stephensimple@gmail.com) if you are interested in setting up a time to view the apartment during the week in the evenings or sometime on the weekend.
