Hi,
We have a warehouse/apartment in Redwood City on the edge of Menlo Park. It's 2-3 miles to RWC or Menlo Park Caltrain and 5 miles to Stanford campus. Hoping for people who can move within the next two weeks.
3000 square feet (on paper, liveable area is a good chunk less), $2900 a month + utilities, ~6 people total. We're looking for ~2 friendly, responsible, and diverse people. The space is plain and new for now, but will quickly ramp up into an awesome community filled with art, second hand furniture, and cool events. We want to make this a friendly, positive place for everyone. It will be a low key and quiet house though as far as these things go, so please no drugs, raves, etc..
We will carve out a sizeable private space for everyone with sheets, tall shelves, etc.
Important Info:
-First floor consists of a huge warehouse, a huge office, and a half bath.
-Smaller second floor consists of a bathroom w/ shower, full modern kitchen, office, and huge bedroom.
-Carpeting, good lighting, heat, a/c, mold-free, asbestos-free etc.. Numerous windows, but awkwardly placed.
-No worries about legality/landlord issues.
-Next to the freeway in a safe residential neighborhood, very quiet.
-Good bus access, good train/store access by bike
We'd share the costs for some communal infrastructure and utilities. We expect total costs per person to be less than $550 per month with 6 people total or $660 if we go with 5 people. It could be more for a while depending on how many people are already moved in.
Reply with information about yourself. We'll try to find a time for you to visit.
Residents by the beginning of November will include a grad student, artist, engineer, and temp worker; 3 male and 1 female.
If you can't move in soon-ish, we have the option of renting an adjacent apartment attached to the second floor of the warehouse, which would add space for another 2 people and another shower (extra 1k/month). We might go for that within a month or two, so let us know if you're interested in that option.
