Turn your android phone into a heart rate monitor with this Zephyr HxM. I used this for several months with my Samsung Galaxy S4. I just purchased an iPhone and this particular HRM sensor does not work with iOS. It works via Bluetooth and is pretty darn easy to set up and foolproof. I used it to talk with the Strava app, but there are many other apps it works with.
