Add to calendarJoin us on October 7th 12-1pm PT for a closer look at the development and evaluation of CREATE's signature project, TherapyTrainer.
TherapyTrainer is designed to help therapists learn and practice Written Exposure Therapy (WET), a brief evidence-based treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), using AI-simulated patients and an AI consultant that provides personalized feedback.
In this webinar, members of the CREATE research team will introduce TherapyTrainer and the clinical and implementation challenges that motivated its development. They will share how the tool has evolved through an iterative, user-centered development process; discuss the role of clinicians, treatment experts, and AI researchers in shaping the platform; and provide an overview of the ongoing study evaluating its effectiveness. The session will also highlight TherapyTrainer as a case study in CREATE’s broader work to explore how AI can be thoughtfully designed, tested, and integrated into mental health care to expand access to high-quality training and support the delivery of evidence-based treatments.
