After close to 14 years of cruel struggle, the “eternal” Assad regime was overthrown. Syria came out of that eternity quite shapeless. This talk explores the trajectory of Syria between the beginning of the revolution to the present day, and tries to assess some of the future possibilities.

He is the author of nine books on Syria, prison, contemporary Islam, Arab intellectuals and intellectual life, and experiences of the atrocious.
