Welcome Pop-Up: Green Library Edition

Green Library's Access Services team is excited to welcome you to the 2026–2027 academic year!  Drop by either entrance on September 15th or 16th, 1:30–3:30 p.m., to learn more about the library and meet the staff behind the services you'll use all year.

Come and go freely. Here's what you'll find:

• Circulation and borrowing basics -- privileges, after-hours access, and a map of every service point in the building
• Course reserves and Interlibrary Loan -- sample reserve materials and handouts for real fall-quarter courses, plus live demos of the ILL quick request system 
• Media Services -- video games, consoles, DVDs and players, and tabletop games for checkout or in-house use
• Late-night study spaces and privileges -- hours, amenities, alumni and graduating-student card services, and a late-night tote giveaway
• Cardinal Print help -- Set up on the spot and ask us aything
• Live Demos -- Cardinal Print drive setup, ILL quick requests, finding course reserves, and catalog searching
• Blind Date with a Book -- wrapped mystery books with teaser tags; pick one and check it out at the circulation desk
• New books, popular fiction, and staff picks -- browsable displays to jumpstart your reading list
• Lord of the Rings photo station -- a giant book cut-out frame and props, self-serve
• Games and prizes -- spin the prize wheel and try our library game
• "Guess how many candles are in the jar" -- closest guess wins the jar
• Two raffles, one at each entrance --  a late-night tote bag and a book lovers' basket
• Popsicles and cold drinks -- while they last

Access Services staff will be on hand both days to help you discover everything the library has to offer. This is your chance to learn about services you might not know existed and connect with the team that supports your research and study needs throughout the year.
