Description

Proper commuter from KHS, a real bike brand (making bikes since 1974), not a big-box store bike. Retails at $549 new.

4130 double-butted chromoly steel frame — steel soaks up road buzz in a way aluminum doesn't, and it's what good touring and commuter bikes are built from
700c wheels with 35c tires — fast on pavement, wide enough for campus paths and the odd curb
3x8 drivetrain, wide gear range
Trekking handlebar and a wide comfort saddle — upright, easy position for daily riding
Phone holder already mounted on the bar
Carrier bosses on the frame if you want to add a rack later
Fully tuned by me: brakes adjusted, gears indexed, tires holding pressure

Frame size: XXL, best for riders 6'2"–6'6". Hard to find this size used.

Optional add-ons: U-lock +$25 (bike shop minimum is $50)
